Given the discussion within the Policy Perspectives forum regarding the influence of criminological research on policy, what appears to be the observable impact?

Policy Consensus Post Due: Sunday September 13, 2020 at 11:59pm EST

The Policy Consensus forum is intended to develop a consensus regarding the policy posed by the professor. Drawing on the positions posted in the policy perspectives forum, students are expected to articulate which position – either support or not – is best justified. Student consensus posts should demonstrate evidence and justification for which position they believe is most correct/appropriate.

Students should include a succinct, one-sentence, statement at the beginning of their consensus post that clearly articulates which perspective they believe is most appropriate (i.e., be clear if you either support or do not support the policy position).

Consensus posts must include research evidence and supported statements/positions. More specifically, posts must include cited sources within the body text of the post as well as a complete reference citation below.
