Students will select an eBook, from a list on Blackboard, and then read that book before writing a detailed book review of 4-5 pages. The assignment has several steps and numerous opportunities to achieve and maintain an acceptable grade.

Step 1: Book Selection (see Discussion Board in Chapter 1)

Step 2: Tactical Reading (see Assignment: Tactical Reading in Chapter 1)

Step 3: Chapter Brief (see Assignment: Chapter Brief in Chapter 2)

Step 4: Rough Draft (see Assignment: Rough Draft in Chapter 3)

Step 5: Final Draft (see Assignment: Final Draft in Chapter 4)

The book review accounts for a substantial portion of your final grade in the class, but it has numerous components to help students keep up with the assignment.

Book Selection, factored into your discussion board grade

Tactical Reading and Chapter Brief, 15% of your overall course grade

Rough Draft, 35% of your overall course grade

Final Draft: acts to replace rough draft grade should a student need it
